Sq. Root of Time Fitting Plot
Determination of Coefficient of Consolidation (Cv) as suggested by Taylor is
accomplished through this method by plotting Dial gauge Reading for
compression of the specimen, as ordinate for any pressure increment in the
consolidation test, with Sq. root of time as abscissa. Using either manual or
guided extrapolation of the curve straight part, one can easily determine Cv
with extreme accuracy and in a very short time. A maximum of 2 plots in a
report sheet is possible to be drawn.

of user. 2:1 method or Bousinesq method can be followed as per selection of
user to find out the Stress distribution. Detailed manual calculation in a
well formatted page layout will be available at the end for the purpose of
viewing, printing etc. These calculations are transferable to word processor.

Bearing Capacity Calculation
Computation of bearing capacity is a very tedious job. One can have this
lengthy process, of finding bearing capacity as per IS code, reduced to a few
simple mouse clicks. All the considerations are being taken up automatically
by the software. Even, for same type of soil, allowable bearing capacity
values can be computed for a large nos. of footing size through RANGE option.
Very nicely formatted sample manual calculation sheets are automatically
generated which may be saved, preview for printing and can be printed also
from the software. Forth coming version will include a detail comparative
statement for bearing capacity computed as per the guide lines thrown by
different renowned geotechnical experts. These calculations are transferable
to word processor.
